poliun I have become a firm fan of Mo Dao Zu Shi/ Chen Qin Ling/ The Untamed. the live action series being my favourite so far.
I have also become a firm fan of Xiao Zhan( Sean Xiao in English).
I stumbled across it during lockdown period. the chemistry between Xiao Zhan in the titular role of WWX and Wang Yibo in the 2nd lead of LWJ is spectacular. naturally after watching the drama and watching all the bts and interview, I became a shipper. it was May/June last year. I had heard about the 227 incident but assumed it would soon be blown over.
but it didn't blow over(actually it's still going on, but much low key). worried I started to search for more information. in the comment section of an youtube video I came across this link-FACT: 227 United is NOT AO3 - Chapter 1 - actualao3user - 陈情令 | The Untamed (TV) RPF [Archive of Our Own]. the commenter advised to read the comments as well. at that time this article was 14-16 chapters long. I read and was upset with WYB for not standing up for XZ in public. still I thought they were good friends for each other. come to think of it , I don't think they have even any private interaction any more.
but as time progressed and more things came to light I was unable to accept the excuses that cpf(couple shippers) offered on his behalf. I could no longer believe he cares for XZ even as a friend.
do I hate WYB? the answer is no. nobody chose to be a sorry figure, and that's what I think he is. An young man raised and filled with wrong ideas. I hope he comes around on his own because as they say, karma is a bitch.
